Shreya Ghoshal is a singer known for her wide vocal range and versatility.

She grew up in Rawatbhata, a small town near Kota, Rajasthan.

She began learning music at the age of 4 and took professional training at the age of 6.

As she won the television singing competition Sa Re Ga Ma, she caught the attention of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mother.

She made her Bollywood playback singing debut with Bhansali's romantic drama Devdas for which she received multiple awards.

She has been honoured by the state of Ohio in the United States, where Governor Ted Strickland declared 26 June 2010 as "Shreya Ghoshal Day".

She got married to her school friend and boyfriend, Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya.

The couple tied the knot on 5 February 2015.

The couple had a son named Devyaan Mukhopadhyaya.

She has recorded film songs in 12 different Indian Languages.

She has recorded more than 1000 songs in different languages.

Her first-ever recorded song was "Ganraj Rangi Nachato".
